The operator collects nothing. The Tool has no backend, no database, no user accounts, and no analytics. It does not use tracking cookies, analytics beacons, advertising identifiers, or fingerprinting, and it does not collect IP addresses, device identifiers, SSN, DoD ID numbers, home addresses, phone numbers, financial, medical, or biometric data.
The only data that exists is what you type in, and it is stored solely in your browser's local storage on your device:
| Category | Examples | Where It Lives |
|---|---|---|
| Header / meta | Unit / UIC, inventory date, from & to names, system serial number | Your browser (localStorage) — on your device only |
| Line entries | Per-line status (present / short / missing), quantity found, serial numbers, notes | Your browser (localStorage) — on your device only |
| Exports | Excel (.xlsx) worksheets and DA Form 2062 printouts you generate | Saved by you to your device; not sent anywhere |
None of this is transmitted to the operator or to any server.
Because your data never leaves your device, the operator cannot and does not use it for anything. The data you enter is used only, locally in your browser, to:
- Show progress: display your inventory counts (present / short / missing / unchecked).
- Save your work: persist your entries so they remain if you close and reopen the page in the same browser on the same device.
- Generate exports: build the Excel worksheet and DA Form 2062 printout when you choose to export.
Data is never sold, rented, used for advertising, used to train AI, or shared with anyone. The Tool contains no AI features.
The Tool does not send your inventory data to any third party. To load and function in the browser, the page requests two front-end resources from public content-delivery networks. These providers serve code and fonts to your browser and may log standard request metadata (such as IP address and browser type) as part of delivering those files, but they do not receive any inventory data you enter:
| Service | What It Does | Provider Policy |
|---|---|---|
| SheetJS (cdnjs / Cloudflare) | Delivers the spreadsheet library used to build Excel exports in your browser | cloudflare.com/privacypolicy |
| Google Fonts | Delivers the web fonts used for page styling | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Hosting Provider | Serves the static HTML page to your browser | Subject to that provider's terms |
No inventory data, serial numbers, or personnel information is transmitted to any of these services.
The operator retains nothing, because nothing is transmitted. Your inventory data stays in your browser's local storage until you remove it, so you are in full control of retention:
- Data persists on the same browser and device until you clear it.
- Use the "Clear this inventory" action in the Tool to wipe all entries on that device.
- Clearing the browser's site data / cache for this site also removes it.
- Exported Excel and DA 2062 files are yours to keep, store, or delete.
There is no copy of your data held anywhere else for the operator or anyone else to retain.
Because all data is stored locally on your device and the operator holds none of it, you have direct and complete control:
- View all data — it is only ever in your own browser and in the files you export.
- Correct any entry — edit it directly in the Tool.
- Delete all data — use "Clear this inventory," or clear this site's browser storage.
- Stop using the Tool at any time — no account, submission, or sign-up is involved.
There is no data held by the operator to request, export, or delete. General questions may still be sent to the contact in §08.
No inventory data is transmitted, so there is no server-side store of your data that could be breached. The page and its front-end resources are served over HTTPS.
Your data's security depends primarily on the device you use. Because entries persist in the browser's local storage, use only trusted government or personal devices — not shared or public computers — and clear the inventory before releasing a device. This Tool is intended for UNCLASSIFIED / CUI information handled per DODI 5200.48; do not enter classified information. See §04 of the Disclaimer for full CUI-handling guidance.
