The NCO Performance Tracker (this "Tool") is an independent personal project built and maintained by a single Non-Commissioned Officer in a private capacity. It is:
- Not sponsored, endorsed, or operated by the United States Army, the Department of Defense, the National Guard, or any government agency.
- Not an authorized system of record for NCOER preparation, personnel evaluation, or any official military process.
- Not hosted on a .mil domain and not subject to DoD cybersecurity or accreditation standards (e.g., RMF, ATO, FedRAMP).
Use of this Tool is entirely voluntary and personal. Nothing generated by this Tool constitutes an official Army document until independently reviewed, revised, and entered into the authorized system by the user or their rating chain.
The Tool is designed as a personal drafting aid to help NCOs organize notes from monthly drill and improve the quality of their own performance documentation. It uses a third-party generative AI service (Google Gemini) to suggest enhanced wording for user-submitted text.
AI-generated suggestions are suggestions only. The user is solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing any text before use in any official context.
The Tool is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
The operator does not warrant that the Tool will be available, error-free, secure, or that AI output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose. Availability depends on third-party services (Google Apps Script, Google Gemini, the hosting provider) that may be interrupted, rate-limited, or discontinued without notice.
This Tool is a public-facing web application. Users must not submit:
- Classified, For Official Use Only (FOUO), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), or otherwise protected information.
- Personally Identifiable Information (PII) beyond what is needed for basic identification (name, rank, squad, MOS).
- Social Security Numbers, DoD ID numbers, home addresses, medical information, or financial information.
- Operational details, unit locations, exercise specifics, or any information that could compromise operational security (OPSEC).
- Information about other service members without their consent.
Submitting sensitive information through this Tool is at the user's own risk and may violate Army regulation. The operator disclaims all responsibility for consequences arising from users submitting prohibited information.
The Tool relies on third-party services to function. When the user clicks "Enhance with AI," the text they entered is transmitted to Google's Gemini API for processing. Submissions and generated PDFs are stored in Google Drive and Google Sheets under a personal Google account.
Users are subject to the terms and privacy policies of those third-party services. The operator does not control how Google, the hosting provider, or any other third party handles the data once it leaves this Tool.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Tool, including but not limited to:
- Inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate AI-generated text.
- Loss, disclosure, or corruption of submitted data.
- Adverse personnel actions based on use of this Tool.
- Service interruptions or data loss by Google or other third parties.
- Unauthorized access, data breaches, or misuse by other users.
The user assumes all risk associated with use of the Tool.
Users remain fully responsible for complying with all applicable regulations, including Army Regulation 530-1 (Operations Security), AR 25-2 (Cybersecurity), AR 623-3 (Evaluation Reporting System), and any unit-level policies governing the use of external tools and AI.
When in doubt, users should consult their chain of command before submitting any information.
